Lord, I trust in Your promise that You do not turn away those who humbly come before You for mercy. I am weak, I am unloving, I am broken. Have mercy on me.

All Your ways are loving and are faithful

My way is not Your way. My thoughts are not Your thoughts. You know what I need, to be sanctified, to know You, to love You and to love Your Church. Would I trust that the path You set out for me is with my good in mind, and designed in the most perfect way.

Your road is narrow, but Your burden, light

You forewarn us that the road is narrow. The path of holiness, heavenward is ridden with suffering and few take it. But You assure us that Your way is the way to life, the way of peace and joy, and that You will not only show us the way, but You will carry us through. Help me trust in these promises.

So Your Word is my joy and meditation
From the rising to the setting of the sun 

Would Your Word, Your promises be the foundation of my hope, my joy, my peace, and that I would know it, meditate on it so that it would sustain my hope, my joy, my peace.

O God, You are my God
And I will ever praise You

You are my God, who created me, along with the entire universe and everything in it, who knows the depths of my heart, who reigns over me and over all that is and has been. How could I not trust that You are not only able, but willing to take care of me when You made all that is into being and can destroy all that is with a mere breath?

I will seek You in the morning
And I will learn to walk in Your way
And step by step, You’ll lead me
And I will follow You all of my days

Lord, I want to be with You in eternity. I want to make it to the end. But You know I am weak, and I can’t make it on just my will, or even my desire. But You can save a wretched sinner like me. You can change a heart like mine. So would I continue to trust You, obey as You call me to obey, follow as You lead, so that I would make it to the end, and I would be with You in eternity. May all glory be Yours.
